Skales Denies Viral Claim About Divorcing Wife Over Social Media Comment

Nigerian music star Skales has firmly denied widespread claims suggesting he divorced his wife over a comment she allegedly made on his social media post.

The singer addressed the situation on X (formerly Twitter), slamming the report as “really evil” and “not fair.”

“I have never made such statement and this is false… pls stop spreading lies,” Skales wrote, while reposting the fabricated quote originally shared by @VERITY_HQ.

The viral tweet falsely attributed the following words to him:
“I divorced my wife because of a comment she made on my post and I don’t regret it… People cannot be mocking your husband’s music career… and you join.”

Skales has made it clear that he never uttered those words and cautioned blogs and media platforms against peddling falsehoods about his personal life.
